Large stall in the market that serves a variety of dumplings fresh or carry home to finish out at home. This is a fairly large operation with a bunch of older viet folks hand rolling the dumplings. They also serve western style Chinese food. As per usual, when I am stumbling, rumbling and wandering alone, I have to pick and chose my battles on what I can eat. I know... First. Word. Problems.

tried their famous pork dim sim and was really nice. good flavour. don’t need any sauce as it’s packed with flavour. we chose the steamed one but you can also get fried. they have other dumplings as well and you can get it freshly steamed upon order. worth trying!

One of the better dim sims. Homemade, tasty and easy to eat. We left the steamed one for far too long, so I think it'll taste even better when eaten hot off the warmer. The fried version was flavourful. Loved that the pork dumplings came with some chopped cabbage in them. The sesame prawn toast was good too. Well fried and not too greasy.

Mama Tran and her family have been making yum cha classics since anyone remembers - everything is handmade fresh in fout of you! The prawn toasts are so addictive that I end up having one (or more) far too often. No regret though. The prawn dumplings (all flavours are good) have whole prawns inside. I like to get them steamed fresh to eat on the spot. TIP: don't use the soy sauce. The flavour is so balance and ingredient so fresh you wanna taste it :-) I love having a few packs handy when my in-laws visit. Makes impressive lunches that's quick and easy. But eat them quickly (there's no preservatives). I'm sure it won't be a problem if you love dumplings :-)

The large fist-sized dim sim steamed dumpling was soft tender outside, chewy juicy inside, with pleasant meaty sweet savoury salty spice flavour. A delicious snack. . The Prawn Toast (AUD $3.50) was so good, we ordered another round of it. This has crisp toasted white bread, topped with juicy bouncy succulent deshelled shrimp / prawns, fresh and sweet savoury bready in flavour. Studded with sesame seeds which give it a slight nutty note. So good this prawn toast.

First time visiting South Melb market - tried the assorted dumplings and vegetable dumplings. Assorted dumplings was excellent but vegetable dumplings tasted liked mush so I didn’t finish it. Overall it’s good to try for the novelty.

Rare affordable foods that I have found in Melbourne and really one that I really enjoy as an Asian Tourist. For $3 you get a huge dumpling like Dim Sum, and $1.5 will get you smaller versions. For those who are unsure what it tastes like, just get it you would love it. It tastes like a mix between a siew mai and a dumpling
